Identify the accounts before inviting anyone
Keep advertising in the business's own accounts and distinguish the provider's campaign access from control of billing and users. Confirm who authorizes platform spend, who pays the platform and who can stop or change a campaign. A video-delivery agreement alone does not settle any of those responsibilities.
List the actual advertising account, business assets and destinations the campaign will use. A social page, an ad account, a billing profile and a website are separate items. Access to one does not prove that the intended campaign can use the others.
Keep account identifiers and payment details in the business's private workspace. In the shareable brief, record the asset's purpose and the responsible business role rather than exposing account numbers or card details.
If another provider already has access, review that relationship before adding another. Decide which campaigns remain active and who may change them; avoid two teams editing the same work without an agreed handoff.
Give permissions for the work actually agreed
As checked in October 2026, Google Ads' access-level table distinguishes read-only, standard, billing and admin permissions. Standard access can edit campaigns and some billing information; admin access can also manage account access and manager links. Do not assume a campaign-working role has no billing capability.
Use the current role table to match the task. A person reviewing reports and a team managing campaigns may need different access. Keep someone inside the business able to review users and maintain control; confirm any broader permission before granting it.
For an individual Google Ads account, Google's access instructions use Admin → Access and security to invite users, select their level and later change or remove access. Linking a manager account has its own procedure. Confirm the intended relationship rather than copying a user-invitation checklist for every setup.
For Meta, verify the actual assets and permissions in its current business tools with the account's administrator. This article does not supply unverified Meta interface steps or assume that its roles mean the same thing as Google's.
Separate management scope from platform spend
Write down which platform campaigns the provider will manage and what authorization it needs before changes. Confirm who decides the amount and campaign dates privately; this guide provides no recommended amount or service price.
The business should understand where the platform bills it and how the management work is billed separately. An amount discussed for one does not automatically cover the other. Ask about the actual arrangement instead of inferring it from a package label.
A production-only commission can make the ad creative without managing campaigns. Brand film versus video ad separates the intended message from running the advertising. Confirm placement, versions and campaign-management scope independently.
Make the plan practical.

Check the accepted role in the real account before considering the access handoff complete. Do not run a campaign just to prove that the invitation works. Protect individual logins; Google's account-security guidance explains 2-Step Verification. Nobody needs your login or verification codes in a filming brief.
Confirm the destination and the evidence
Before an authorized campaign runs, check that the approved creative points to the intended live destination and that the business can handle the resulting conversations. A working button does not establish that an inquiry was accepted or that a booking happened.
If tracking is part of the agreed work, ask which actions it records and what has actually been verified. A proposed tag, a preview screen and a received event are different states. Do not assume advertising access proves measurement, privacy or consent behavior is ready.
For reporting, use assessing monthly content beyond likes. Keep platform engagement, confirmed inquiries and actual appointments separate; label missing source evidence as unknown.
Plan the end before the campaign starts
Record who will review remaining campaigns, approved creative, destinations, users and manager relationships when the provider changes. Decide which campaigns the business wants to retain, pause or transfer before removing access.
Removing a provider's permissions and stopping a campaign are separate decisions. Verify both in the actual tools rather than assuming that one necessarily performs the other. The outgoing team can supply a status handoff; the business should retain control of its accounts and payment arrangements.
How we can help
Paid ads management is an optional monthly choice or a production add-on. We manage Meta and Google ads in your accounts, and you pay ad spend directly to the platforms. Campaign work, creative variations and responsibilities are scoped in writing; we do not promise a number of inquiries or bookings.
